INTRODUCTION
There are no two ways to securing divine establishment than living a Godly life.
Godliness attracts God to a life while unrighteous living is a repelling force on any life.
It is our righteousness that opens the way for our lifting, “righteousness exalt a nation…”
We studied the issue of sexual immorality with emphasis on Fornication as it corrupts and destroy a life and the Church.
Today, we are considering THE MINISTRY OF A STRANGE WOMAN.
We also have strange man too. As a man can fall into the trap of a strange woman, so also a woman can fall into the trap of a man.
The ministry of “Strange woman” is real according to the Bible.
May you be delivered from her deadly traps in Jesus’ name.
WHO IS A STRANGE WOMAN? – PROVERBS 5:3-5; 6:26 (KJV)
A strange woman is a person who corrupts and spoils lives, the church and ministries of individuals.
A strange woman is unusual person behaving in an unusual way.
A strange woman is a destroyer of precious lives.
A strange woman is a hunter of precious souls.
A strange woman is a well – packaged and well – presented evil
EXAMPLES OF STRANGE WOMEN IN THE BIBLE
1. Lady Tamar – Gen. 38:14-17
She was a strange woman because she made God’s servant have a child with her even though he had no intention of having a child with her.
She knew exactly what she was doing and before Judah was aware of what was going on, he had impregnated her.
2. Lady Michal – 1 Sam. 18:20-21 (NASB)
She was intended to be a snare to David. No wonder David shook her off in the day she mocked him for dancing before the Lord.
3. Lady Delilah – Judg. 16:4-6
She is perhaps the most well known strange woman of the bible.
Through her soft laps and enticing words she overcame the reasoning faculties of Samson and brought him to his kneels.
4. The Strange Women of the Invader – Dan. 11:16-17 (NASB)
A young women was given as an act of war.
The women were weapon of war to destroy the enemy.
HOW TO IDENTIFY A STRANGE WOMAN
God has given us some signs by which we can identify a strange person and avoid her.
1. A STRANGE WOMAN HAS A GROUP THAT SHE IDENTIFIES WITH – PROV. 7:7,8 The strange woman had a corner. Strange people have their special corners.
They also have special groups of friends who congregate with them at this special places. “birds of the same feather flock together”
The secular strange women have their special corners like Allen Avenue in Ikeja Lagos and the likes.
2. A STRANGE WOMAN OPERATES AT SPECIAL TIMES – PROV. 7:9
In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night:
You hardly see strange women operating in the broad day light; their works flourish more in the dark.
The black and dark night also speaks of time of difficulty and stress. Many people encounter a strange woman when they are going through difficulties in life.
The black and dark night speaks of times of pain, times of confusion, times of not knowing where to turn and what to do.
As a single lady or brother, you must not be in the company of certain people at certain times.
If you are in a relationship, there are certain times that you should not be with your fiancée or fiancé.
If you are a married man or woman, you are not supposed to be at certain places with certain people at certain times.
3. A STRANGE WOMAN HAS A PARTICULAR WAY OF DRESSING – PROV. 7:10
And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.
The bible did not say she was an harlot, but that, she came with the dress of a harlot.
A strange woman dresses in a suggestive and revealing way.
You can pick them out by their dressing.
If you are a Christian, there are certain dresses that you are not supposed to wear.
A believer ought to dress decently and not like prostitute.
It is not only the dress that speaks, but their pose also speaks volumes. You can immediately see they are up to something.
Some of the dresses expose half of the breasts. But a woman’s breasts are not meant for the public. Not for public display!
Every Christian should look beautiful, but we should be careful not to cross the line into “strangeness”
4. A STRANGE WOMAN IS STUBBORN – PROV. 711
She is … stubborn
She is unyielding, unbending…
The landmark of a strange woman syndrome is stubbornness.
She does not and not want to submit to her husband.
God’s order is for the wife to submit but women’s liberation is against that.
Dear women, you are not wiser than God.
No matter what you think and know, and no matter the theories you come up with, there can be only one head in a home.
Do not be too hard and do not be too stubborn. These are traits
5. A STRANGE WOMAN IS A HUNTER. SHE WANTS A MAN! – PROV. 7:12; 6:26
Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner
…the adulteress will hunt for the precious life.
She is always waiting outside to see a naïve man to strike at.
If she could not catch this one she waits for the next one and tells him the same story as if she has been waiting for him. Men beware!
6. A STRANGE WOMAN LOVES PHYSICAL CONTACT – PROV. 7:13
So she caught him and kissed him…
Strange people like this woman love to press some part of their body against the people they are after. They always love to kiss and hug.
The strange woman knows that generally, a man can be sexually aroused by sight and touch. Hence, in order to conquer her victim totally she will cause him to yield by touching him.
Some Christians brothers and sisters also have the habit of holding on and hanging on to each other. Watch out!
WAYS OUT OF THE HAND OF A STRANGE WOMAN 1. Walk in God’s wisdom and yield to wise godly counsel – Prov. 7:2-5
2. Never enter into friendship or relationship with such woman or lady and even that man- Prov. 5:8
3. Be sensitive and prayerful – Matt. 26:41
Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!"
Conclusion
Always soak yourself in the word of God and prayer that you will not fall prey for strange people.
